How to get the best Corolla rental home experience:

When to visit Corolla & When to book:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in Corolla. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Currituck area visitor guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking yourrental home:

  • Begin by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. PI157, Vintage Pine- Oceanside, Private Pool, Rec Room, Vllyball has 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Currituck beach you simply love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips for a smooth stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
