Our front door opens into a huge Great Room with comfortable leather furnishings, including a massage recliner. The dining area has a 4x8 ft. Granite topped dining room table with ample seating for 8+, and a bar with seating for 4 where you can interact with whom or whatever is going on in the kitchen. The dining area gives access to our enormous covered deck where you can view the Currituck Lighthouse, watch family members play tennis or carry food down a few steps to an outdoor stainless steel grille. (Last year Osprey constructed a nest on one of the overhead lights of the Tennis Court. Let's hope they do it again this year.) The kitchen is entirely equipped and well supplied with everything needed to fix either fast or gourmet meals. As you turn into the hallway, the laundry area is hidden behind louver doors. Ahead to the right is the cavernous Master bedroom, we call it the Magnolia room, with a Intelligent TV, a Jacuzzi tub, double vanities, separate room for shower and commode. The Master also has a modest private deck. Next is the Ivy room decorated in calming shades of green and is home to the biggest of the Flat Screen TV’s. Past the two-room hall bathroom is the Lighthouse room where you will find two twin beds set up as a Day Bed with a pull out Trundle making this an ideal bedroom for either kids or adults. As you walk through the condo, you may not notice the subtle changes that also make this home Wheelchair Accessible and Handicap Friendly.

Tricks and tips to get the very best Currituck vacation home experience:
How to get the best value:
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer is high season in Corolla. To get the best value, try changing your family's Currituck vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Make a plan and choose the rightrental home:
- First and foremost, have your family decide on trip dates and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Larger first floor Mirage Condo, Take a Look! Pet Friendly too. Sat to Sat has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Contact the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
