Holiday House will be the place to have your holiday vacation at! The top-level great room is cavernous with plenty of room for gathering for movies, dinner, and family time. A private hot tub offers relaxation after your busy day at the beach or community pool. Modern, comfortable furnishings set a tone of relaxation which immediately makes you feel at home. Holiday House is located in the soundside community of Monteray Shores, which features two community piers for fishing and crabbing (license required in NC), cycling and walking trails, a clubhouse with exercise center, pool, basketball and tennis courts, and seasonal activities - plus, you're just north of the Timbuck II shopping center, with stores, dining options, grocery stores, and more. A short drive takes you to the Currituck Lighthouse and historic Whalehead Club, and guests can drive to beachfront parking and savor a leisurely walk to the ocean.

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Monteray Shores, a neighborhood in Corolla. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Corolla Beach. How to get the best value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Corolla. Book your Currituck rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.

  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
