Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Currituck rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Currituck area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the best rental in Corolla:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. A License To Chill: Soundfront, Private Pool, Spa has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
- If there's a particular Currituck destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Tips for a great stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
- During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
