Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Currituck vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Currituck vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Currituck area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking your prefectrental home:
- First and foremost, have your family choose trip dates and a spending budget.
- Heated Pool has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
