Set sail at Crew Quarters, a 16 bedroom oceanfront escape in the exclusive Pine Island Club community of Corolla. Gather the entire crew for an memorable vacation in this high-end, Life Saving Station-themed, waterside haven. Thoughtfully designed to save you from reality, this striking home features nautical modren furnishings, and has been professionally decorated both indoors and out. Awash with amenities, Crew Quarters includes a gorgeous outdoor area with private pool, outdoor bar, and hot tub, direct beach access with a dune-top oceanview deck, a rec room with poker, shuffleboard, and pool tables, home theater room, elevator, arcade, workout room, and more!

The entertainment possibilities are countless on the "orlop deck," or the ground floor. Play a friendly game of pool while the rest of the crew watches from the bespoke Stern Bar in the rec room, which also offers multiple flat screen TVs, a poker table, and a sitting area. This lower level Stern Bar/kitchenette features a full-size refrigerator, commercial ice maker, blenders, microwave, coffee pot, and a kegerator with tap, helping to ensure that snacks and beverages are within reach at all times. A dishwasher is also supplied for simple cleanup. Screen the latest flicks on the big screen in the adjacent theater room, which offers Apple TV, a huge flat screen, and tiered seating. Play an appealing game of Golden Tee or Whac-A-Mole in the arcade; for the fans of old school games, there is classic Dome Hockey. Stay on track with a workout in the exercise room, which offers an elliptical, treadmill, and an array of medicine balls. Also supplied on the lower level are a sitting area, a half bathroom and a laundry room. Linens on this level includes 2 king master suites, and a third master bedroom with two constructed-in pyramid bunksets.

Step outside the rec room doors and the fun continues in the outdoor recreation area. Grilling, tanning, swimming, calming - the possibilities are endless. A sitting area with a impressive, bespoke oyster shell outdoor fireplace (available mid- Sept through mid-April) invites you to sit down and relax. The sizable cabana bar with TV is ideal for catching the big game after splashing in the pool. A hot tub is located in the pool area for your relaxation enjoyment, and a wet deck (or shallow area) in the pool is the ideal place to dip your feet and cool off. The Wilmington Grille is a "galley dweller's" dream, ideal for cooking out. The beach is just steps over the private walkway with dune deck.

The majority of the "tween deck," or mid-level, contains quarters for the crew. Nine master bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and some with deck access, all have their own distinctive nautical decor. Take a break from the rest of the crew in the sitting room with TV and deck access. Two laundry areas are conveniently located on this level.

Crew Quarters features a light and airy great room designed to accommodate the entire crew on the "top deck." This bright and open room consists of the comfortable living area, fantastically appointed "galley" with enormous pantry, formal dining areas, and the completely unique "Bar-ge", a full bar housed inside an original replica life saving station boat. High-quality outdoor furnishings on the surf-watch oceanview deck ensures your crew's comfort and brings the nautical theme outdoors. You can keep watch on the horizon from the roomy, partially covered surf-watch deck -- a spectacular and comfortable post overlooking the Atlantic, especially during stormy seas. The sunrise on the surf-watch deck is stunning. If the sunrise is a little too early for your voyage, the ever enticing sunset on the sound side view is sure to compare. You can literally see both the ocean and sound from the "top deck" at Crew Quarters - without moving. The dining area has a variety of seating options, including a one-of-a-kind circular banquette that is sure to be a favorite of the littlest crew members. Rounding out the "top deck" are four generous master suites for the Captain and Lead Decks of your crew - three are kings, one is a queen. For your convenience, Premium quality linens and bed making service is included for all arriving guests.

Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Currituck vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Currituck area. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to pick the perfect rental home:

  • Select vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Crew Quarters -- 16BR Oceanfront with Elevator, Pool and More! has 16 bedrooms and 19 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. Otherwise, email the host before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
