How to find the best Corolla rental home experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in Corolla. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by having your group decide on vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. A Pointe Of View: Ocean & Golf Course Views has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
