Master Bedroom with 2 Doubles plus private bathroom, Bedroom with 2 DuoBunks, flat-screen TV and 2 desks and a full hallway bathroom. Laundry area with washer and dryer.

Top Level: 2 King Master Bedrooms each with flat-screen TV and private bathrooms.

Linens and towels supplied at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep couches, top bunk beds and trundle beds in which case the sheets are included. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

4-WD REQUIRED - This home is only accessible by high clearance Four-Wheel-Drive cars such as a Jeep Cherokee, Ford Explorer, etc. You will be driving on the beach, over dune lines and in soft sand.

Carova Beach is convenient for families because it is not necessary to walk to the beach. A walk over the dune or a 30 second drive in your four wheel drive car brings you out to the beach where you can park right on the beach and appreciate the luxury of having all your beach goodies at your fingertips and savor the day! Wild horses roam the area as well as fox, deer, and tons of waterfowl on the sound.

Beach Parking Passes are required to park on the beach from the last Saturday in April through the first Saturday in October. You do not need a pass to drive on the beach or park at the home. Two 4x4 parking passes are included with each 4x4 vacation home with a $50 cash deposit (refunded when passes are returned). Passes can be picked up at our Corolla Office (1023 Ocean Trail) during business hours. If more than two passes are needed, there are a limited number of additional available parking passes each week that can be purchased from Currituck County (https://currituckcountync.ticketspice.com/currituckbeachparking) The cost for a 4x4 parking pass is $50 and can be purchased online, but has to be picked up in person at the Corolla Visitor Center (500 Hunt Club Drive). Please double check Corolla Visitor Center business hours when planning your trip.

About the Area

Located in Corolla, this vacation home is near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Corolla Beach. Currituck National Wildlife Refuge and Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Tricks and tips to get the best vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • In the Currituck area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in Corolla. To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.

  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.

  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
