Poplar Branch has a fish with your name on it, so let Gregory’s Guide Service help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain Landon, offering years of professional experience.
Largemouth Bass, White Perch, Striped Bass, Crab, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Yellow Perch, Redfish, Crappie, Catfish, Longnose Garfish, and more can be found in these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year. On the day of your trip you’re likely to bottom fish using light tackle.
Young ones are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You’ll be casting lines from a 24’ Skiff with room for 5 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods and reels are not included, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Your trip with Gregory’s Guide Service is just a click away, so why not make it happen?
