Tips to get the perfect Currituck rental home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is high season in Corolla. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Currituck area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Currituck visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and choosing a perfectrental:
- Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Fore-ever Shore: Pet friendly home in a beautiful golf community with FREE ameni has 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Currituck rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is best for your vacation.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Currituck beach you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
